NEED YOUR HELP!!!
Hopefully this will get the message across. I realize everyone is anxious to get out there and ride ATV but… It’s been brought to our attention that ATVs are riding the trails even though we’ve posted them until Saturday, May 14th, 2001 in the greater Fort Kent area. We cannot stress enough the importance of letting conditions dry on the trails before we ride. The destruction caused by early riding is sometimes irreparable. Keeping the trails open falls upon the shoulders of the officers and members of the Valley ATV Riders and we are the mercy of landowners who have unselfishly allowed us to use their land for our enjoyment. Riding early and causing damage can make it difficult for both the club and landowners. So please observe mud season and allow things to dry before riding and remember-Riding on other peoples’ land is a privilege, not a right. Again, the planned opening date for trails in the greater Fort Kent area is Saturday, May 14, 2011. Check the website: valleyatvriders.com
Sincerely, The Officers of the Valley ATV Riders
