9/04/08 SOME DATES TO REMEMBER: 1. Monday Sept. 15th, meeting for Valley ATV Riders at 6:30 pm at the Fort Kent Town Office. Guest Speaker. 2. Join the Valley ATV Riders for the UMFK Homecoming and Scarecrow Festival Parade-line up at the Courthouse on Market Street anytime after 10:15 am for start at 11:00 am. The ATV of Maine stickers have been sent along with your latest and last newsletter. Call 834-5152 if you have not received either your local or ATV of Maine sticker. Thank you for your support!
Latest updates-1. going to Carter Brook, Bridge near Spaulding Pond washed out-detour around it 2. going from Fort Kent to Soldier Pond, new trail around Tom Whitworth's gate to the left-as always, STAY ON MARKED TRAIL! During potato harvest, be especially careful on the parts of the trail which we share with farm equipment! RIDING ON LANDOWNER'S PROPERTY IS A PRIVILEGE, NOT A RIGHT! Tell anyone who wants to become a member that applications are available online at www.valleyatvriders.com or at the dealers in town. Display your Valley ATV Riders sticker on the front of your machine if possible and remind anyone who is not a member that belonging to a local club which is a member of ATV of Maine is necessary to ride on Irving land. Other than that-trails are looking OK as long as you are using your common sense and driving carefully.
P.S. Membership dues at $20 for single/$30 for two or more/$10 for associate members. Your membership is very important to us and to you-you cannot ride Irving land without proof of membership to an ATV club and an ATV of Maine sticker. Again thanks for your support in 2008!!
