6-23-09 Next meeting Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at 6:30 pm at Lonesome Pine Ski Tow.

Whoever borrowed our wheels off the ATV trailer at the ski-tow, could you please return them ASAP!!! It would greatly be appreciated.

If anyone knows who went fourwheeling in the potato fields near the Michaud Road near Wallagrass Stream going to Route 11 and caused that trail to be closed, please let someone know ASAP.  That is a necessary part of the trail system and needs to be reopened. Call me at 834-5152 or any officers of the Sly Brook Trailblazers.

Please let's have an enjoyable year-accident free and incident free!!  We've done some culvert work especially on Carter Brook trail but We haven't groomed the trails yet but we will get to it ASAP so in the meantime always drive slowly, cautiously, and defensively. The memberships are coming in everyday but remember, you need a local club sticker and an ATV of Maine sticker to ride on Irving Land.  There seems to be some confusion on what the ATV of Maine stickers looks like-it is a bigger white sticker with a green state of Maine with an ATV in it and it says Alliance of All Terrain Vehicles of Maine-anyone belonging to Valley ATV Riders last year should have received one but if you have paid your membership this year (2009) and do not have one, contact me at 834-5152.  We have finished our first mailing to everyone who was a member last year and if for whatever reason, you have not received a membership form, they are available at our website-valleyatvriders.com   Trails on Irving Land will open only on June 1, 2009 so keep that in mind.  Memberships can also be gotten at your local ATV dealers-Audibert Polaris, Roger's Sports Center, Fort Kent Ski-Doo, and Corriveau Arctic Cat Plus-who have been very supportive of the Valley ATV Riders so shop locally and support them. Enough for now.  A new gate has been put up at Arnold Dubois and the trail should now accomodate side by side ATVs.  Drive safely, Stay on Marked Trails, and Always be respectful of landowners!!!  Bert

A BIG THANK YOU to all Landowners who allow us the privilege of riding on their land.  It's greatly appreciated.

STAY ON MARKED TRAIL!  RIDING ON LANDOWNER'S PROPERTY IS A PRIVILEGE, NOT A RIGHT!

Tell anyone who wants to become a member that applications are available online at www.valleyatvriders.com or at the dealers in town. Display your Valley ATV Riders sticker on the front of your machine if possible and remind anyone who is not a member that belonging to a local club which is a member of ATV of Maine is necessary to ride on Irving land.

P.S.   Membership dues at $25 for single/$35 family-must be in same household-3 maximum/$10 for associate members ( an associate member is one who already belongs to another club but would like to support VATV Riders) .  Your membership is very important to us and to you-you cannot ride Irving land without proof of membership to an ATV club and an ATV of Maine sticker.  Again thanks for your support in 2008!! Remember-YOU CAN GET A COPY OF THE MEMBERSHIP FORM FOR 2009 ON THE WEBSITE-valleyatvriders.com-PASS THE WORD!!   Bert
